Automated CMM Inspection Programming

This new module for NX CAM automates the creation of fully associative CMM inspection programs for Coordinate Measurement Machines.

The current methods of creating CMM programs are too expensive, take too long, are error prone and require scarce, highly skilled resources. NX CMM makes CMM programming an integral part of the process, fully automated by NX geometry and PMI, and managed in Teamcenter if desired. Specifically:

· If PMI is present in the model, programs can be generated automatically. If PMI is not present, customers can quickly create programs linked directly to the model geometry

· Full machine simulation for path generation and collision detection

· Post Processor support for DMIS or customer written CMM vendor languages

· Automatic program updates based on changes to the model

· Support multiple CAD data formats via NX translators
